For my first portfolio exhibit I decided to do a composite photo. I used one of my favorite photos of me and my brothers on Cannon Beach (my favorite place in the world) and a photo of a tree trunk cross-section. I played with frequency separation on the tree trunk to highlight the texture of the trunk- then adjusted shadow and light levels to create a strong contrast. I changed my own photo to black and white as well to further increase the contrast. I also flipped the trunk layer to put the center of the circle in a better place for overall composition.
